What is the Multi-Functioning Grip? The Multi-Functioning Grip is our civilian version of TS-1 (Trigger Shield, One-Step Opening). We have Department of Defense and Agency contracts on TS-1.
Why is it called the Multi-Functioning Grip? The Multi-Functioning Grip is a 4-mode, on-demand discretionary carry/storage device that replaces the grip on AR-15* / M4 / M16 variants. It makes carrying and transporting the firearm much easier and when used properly, a little safer. With that being said, the Multi-Functioning Grip is NOT a firearm safety device.
1) RTF - Ready To Fire (Above, Left Photo)
2) FA - Fast Access (Above, Center Photo)
3) UC - Under Cover (Above, Right Photo)
4) RA- Restricted Access (Above, Right Photo, read below)
In RTF the grip acts like any ordinary grip.
In FA it makes the rifle easier to stow/carry, and a quick smack to the back of the grip locks it into RTF.
The next two modes are user-selectable, and activated by a
sliding switch on the bottom of the grip.
In UC (Symbol "Ο") the grip Shields the trigger/trigger-guard area, and keeps the selector switch in "Safe*". A quick slide and smack puts it back into RTF *This only works with full-size / Mil-Spec selector switches, NOT "Short-Throw" selector switches.
In RA (Symbol "ϴ") the grip Shields the trigger/trigger-guard area, keeps the selector switch in "Safe*", and a Release Button is activated that restricts movement of the Shield. To go into RTF, you must manually press the Release Button while sliding the Shield backwards. This ensures that the Shield will stay in place during extreme movement (running, or vehicle transport). *This only works with full-size / Mil-Spec selector switches, NOT "Short-Throw" selector switches.
The Multi-Functioning Grip comes with 3 backstrap sizes. Small, Medium (preinstalled) and Large. Use a punch to remove the roll-pin, slide in the chosen backstrap, then press the roll-pin back in, ensuring it's flush on both sides.
The Multi-Functioning Grip was designed to make storing, transporting, and carrying the rifle/pistol easier, and when used properly, a little safer. Depending on optics/accessories, the Multi-Functioning Grip compacts the rifles enough to allow 2 rifles to be stored in a single-rifle case.
Pictured below is the Multi-Functioning Grip with the High-Visibility option. This option allows for fast visual conformation that the trigger is Shielded. The bright color, which we can make almost any color you choose, is completely concealed in FA and RTF modes. Great option for training academies and night-time qualifications.
